What To Expect
Before Your Appointment
Welcome to our safe space, here you can expect to unwind and take a break from everything. So there are a few things you'll want to do to prep for your appointment.
For skin treatments you will want to arrive with a clean face and comfortable clothing. A spa gown will be provided for you, there is a changing room available inside the room for your belonging. When changing turn your phone on silent or vibrate. If you use any products at home please take a picture to show your technician. Any exfoliants like retinol, retin-a, AHA/BHA (glycolic/lactic/salicylic), enzymes, ect. are to be discontinued at least 5-7 days before treatment. If you have any allergies or take any medications there will be an area on your intake form.
For Waxing wearing loose fitting clothing in the area of wax you'll be receiving. Brazilians and bikini it's recommended wearing cotton underwear. Discontinue exfoliation a 3-7 days before wax. Arrive with clean hydrated skin for best results. If you have any allergies or take any medications there will be an area on your intake form.
For Lash lift and tints arrive with clean lashes. If you wear contacts you don't have to remove them but it's recommended to.
During Your Appointment

For skin treatments each service is designed for individuals based on their costume needs. Focusing on hydration and balancing the skin is my ultimate goal. Our skin treatment use gentle calming products from glymed plus.
For waxing a hydrating dry oil is applied to the skin if needed. Libby is very experienced in full body waxing so no need to apologize for anything at all. Our goal is to make your service as comfortable as possible. If you would like to request any music feel free as well!
For lash lifts and tint gel eye pads will be applied to hold down bottom lashes along with tape. A rod to the curl type you desire will be glued to the eyelid and lashes with me brought onto shield. In a three step process the lashes will be processed with a perm solutions to create this curl. At the end everything will be removed and you can expect this service to take up to an hour depending on condition of lashes. A conditioning treatment will be applied to the lashed after to ensure strengthening.
For Brow laminations This process uses the same type of solutions as lash lift. This service is used to create a fuller looking brow and help tame curly or cow licked brows.
After Care

For skin treatments for the first 3-7 days stay out of direct sunlight to prevent sun damage to your fresh skin. It's recommended to wear SPF in the sun no matter inside by a window, the car, or even in your office space or home. Clean hats are always a great way to protect yourself. Changing your pillowcase, wash makeup brushes/sponges. Three days after treatment exfoliants can be continued. After care products will be recommended to you if desired, it is highly recommended. Ask about our Special Regimen Package. Monthly facials are recommended for optimal happiness and relaxation.
For waxing It is recommended to use a form of exfoliation 72 hours after your wax. There are multiple options, we retail one option in house for you. Option one is a gentle 10% glycolic wash to use in the shower 2 to 3 times a week. Option two is used after your shower, is a rollerball containing a blend of chemical exfoliants. What these products do is go into your skin and help your skin cells come off after rather then them build up. In turn this helps prevent ingrown hairs and create more youthful looking skin with age by tricking your cells metabolism. Be sure to not over exfoliate or irritation will occur. It's recommended to rebook a maintenance wax 4-6 weeks apart depending on how long the client has been receiving there service.
For lash lifts and tint For a lift to stay its required that you stay away from heat and moister for a minimum of 24 hours. The key is to keep them cool and dry. Activities to watch out for are hot steamy saunas and showers, cooking, getting into your hot car (winter time be careful about your defrosters), and exercise. brushing your lashes up encourages a good structure. Using a nourishing lash serum can be beneficial. Services can be booked every 6-10 weeks and is encouraged to wait longer than sooner for optimal lash health.
For Brow laminations
For a brow lamination to stay its required that you stay away from heat and moister for a minimum of 24 hours. the key is to keep them cool and dry. Activities to watch out for are hot steamy saunas and showers, cooking, getting into your hot car (winter time be careful about your defrosters), and exercise. this service allows the brows to be brushed in the desired direction. Using a nourishing light weight brow oil is recommended that is carried for retail here at Libby Lu Beauty. Follow up services can be rescheduled in 6-8 weeks and is encouraged to wait longer than sooner for optimal brow health, brow shape and tints are recommended every 4-5 weeks for maintenances.
